![]() The latest time-wasting addiction known as Twitter has found its way to the Nintendo DS through homebrew. If you lack a smart phone but do have a DS and you'd like to take your Twitter addiction with you when you leave home, have no fear, DSTwitter is here! But, there are a few problems Twitter addicts may have when trying to add DSTwitter to their vast array of 'homebrew' stored in their flash carts. The first problem would have to be that the app is in Spanish, making it slightly more complicated to figure out what to do if you don't speak Spanish. Luckily, those folks at Mashable have provided some simple instructions on where to download the application. "Prepare a memory card (R4DS) and the DS's WiFi connection. Register to the Scene Beta website. Username and email required. Download the DSTwitter 1.3 .RAR file, you can find it on the Scene Beta website. Extract the contents "in the root of the memory card." Input Twitter login. Run the program." Ta-da! You've got one of the most useless Web 2.0 fads on your Nintendo DS! Although it is kind of fun. ![]() This august, Japanese gamers, business men and other target audiences of most energy drinks will be able to recharge their energy just like Mega Man does. To celebrate the upcoming release of Mega Man 9, Capcom announced the release of a "sports drink" in special E-Tank cans for 137 yen (about $1.26 US) each. I don't think any other WiiWare title in the past has had its own energy drink, but then again, I don't think there's ever been a WiiWare title in the past that has been a sequel that people have been waiting ten years for. Now, I'm just hoping that the TNT Asian Market down at the mall will carry these... Source: http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/08/15/a-sports-drink-for-hard-working-robots/

Swords and Soldiers is set to release in North America, Europe and Australia in Q4 '08. Credit to RedLink for the image. Stupid computer problems.

![]() Rock Band has been one of the most popular music games of this year. With friends or just by yourself, you can play together in a band with guitar, bass, vocals, and drums. Downloadable Tracks (Discs on Wii) allow you to experience the game even more with more songs to play from some bands you may, or may not, like. With Rock Band 2 coming out soon (November 18 for Wii), people are getting excited to play over 80+ new songs, new modes, and more! However, Australia and New Zealand have yet to experience the fun of the original Rock Band. Now that it is finally coming out, they will get to experience Rock Band after some of us have played Rock Band 2 already! The prices were always ridiculous though. People would complain over buying the game for at least $190 for the full set (just to tell you guys, if you don't reserve the game, you won't be able to buy the game separately from the instruments) was crazy! After seeing the Australian price, I think we actually have a bargain. Rock Band coming out to Australia will cost a total of $520 for the full set! That's more than double our price and even more than a PS3! Some of the Australia retailers have refused to place them on the shelf, because they know for a fact no one would want to buy a game that's a year old and is even more than the price of Rock Band 2! That, and they know that if the game doesn't increase in number (sell a lot), the store wouldn't even be making a profit! Harmonix, denying the price to be that high a few weeks ago, "don't even know what your publisher is doing." Stay tuned for more news.

![]() This image emerged on the internet some time today and claimed to be a Nintendo-designed hard drive for the Wii. Luckily, some guy named JC Fletcher smelled something fishy and did some research. Through Amazon Japan, Fletcher managed to bust this myth. The Big N dismissed the image as "rumor and speculation" when CVG inquired. I do admit, a hard drive to store VC games and extra channels would be pretty damn nice. Source: Wii Fanboy

![]() Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games may not be great to the hardcore audience. But to a Japanese Olympic swimmer, it's inspiring. "See, Mario does the breaststroke," Japanese Olympic swimmer Kosuke Kitajima explains. "And thus, it's perfect mental training for envisioning the actual Olympic hall." And the next thing you know, he's won a gold medal. Well, don't be surprised if sales of the game spike a bit after his comment. Young, aspiring athletes will be adding Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games to their daily regimen for sure! Now all we need to do is get a celebrity to say something about OneClick and we'll be set for life! "Oh, I train my Pokémon by battling the community of OneClick Wi-Fi on a daily basis," A famous person explains. "Do I win? Umm... no," He/She chuckles before jumping in a pool of money.

![]() Blue Dragon is an RPG created by Mistwalker and Artoon. The first release was on the 360, where you play as Shu, Kluke, Jiro, Marumaro and Zola with powers they received from blue spheres they swallowed and use these powers they received to stop Nene, who is planning to conquer the world. Blue Dragon Plus, which is headed to the Nintendo DS, is a year after the 360 one left off at, which I don't want to get into any detail, since it might spoil the game for you. However, if you never played the 360 version, you should before you play the DS version, since you'll probably understand absolutely nothing. There is also the anime adaptation of Blue Dragon. For some others who think they watched the show and now they understand what the 360 Blue Dragon is, you're wrong. The anime mostly goes in a whole new direction and has ignored mostly all of the 360 version plot. The new screens show some familiar, and new faces, of playable characters gamers can play as. Blue Dragon Plus is also going to be played as a TRPG (Tatical Role Playing Game) which is similar to Fire Emblem type of play. The game, developed by Mistwalker, Feelplus, Brownie Brown and published by AQ Interactive, is set to release September 4th in Japan.

![]() Not because Shiggy likes doing drugs, watching porn or teaching his pet parrot to cuss at Sony and Microsoft. No, that's not their reason. Their reason is that if he were to share his hobbies, the industry would know what Nintendo would be making next and rush to make it first. An item in the Times of London seems to confirm this. The dots are connected; Miyamoto loves puzzles, Brain Age follows; Miyamoto likes to exercise and stay fit, Wii Fit is released; Miyamoto takes music lessons and enjoys music, Wii Music is unveiled. The writer of the article, whom attributes to sources within Nintendo, says the third time was enough and has asked Miyamoto to keep hush-hush about his interests. Source: Kotaku

![]() A Metallic Silver DS Lite was rumored to be released to the US in September, but with an unconfirmed date. But, sources from Kotaku may have found out a release date. Kotaku wrote: A tipster sent us the attached SKU query (full size mobile phone pic after the jump) which claims a metallic silver DS drops in less than a month (Sept. 7). So, hope you people looking for a DS Lite wait a little longer if you want to get your hands on a Metallic Silver DS Lite, which is not far away from the rumored date.
