![]() Hey, remember that game that surfaced around the launch of the Wii and then later completely disappeared off the radar? No, I'm not talking about Project H.A.M.M.E.R, but that's a close guess. I'm talking about Disaster: Day or Crisis. Yeah, well it resurfaced on the internet and now some images are going around. The game apparently has something to do with disasters going on around the world. Oh and surviving them. No zombies as far as I can tell, but it's still a survival game it seems. Go check out these interesting screenshots, re-acquaintance yourself with the game. It's been a while since you two saw each other. I can has Project H.A.M.M.E.R. now?

![]() With the site down yesterday, I couldn't post the news! Well, with the $300 in the bank thanks to alain, I can! Nothing big has been released to the Wii at all lately, in games and at the Wii Shop. Yes, there was Mega Man that started getting the Wii dust off, but this will surely get most people to dust all the dust on your Wiis. This week's VC releases are: Clu Clu Land; NES, 500 points. My Aquarium; WiiWare, 500 points Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars; SNES, 800 points The wait is over. Super Mario RPG has finally arrived to the Wii Shop and is ready for people to purchase it. Best of all, Super Mario RPG is the 250th released VC game for the Wii Shop. Heya everyone.
I thought I should make a little news post. I have two things to say. 1.) I'm sorry for my recent away-ness. It's been a mix of my laptop being broken and school being hectic, I don't know when I'll be able to come back for "good". 2.) And this is a doozie. OCW will be going down soon. I forgot all about the server payments, and I don't have the funding for it. Unless, by some miraculous stroke of luck I get the money, OCW will be down until further notice. Normally the server charges will cost around 210 bucks, but this month it will cost more around 240 because of late charges. Yeah. I don't know if you guys have money, but if you want OCW to live another day, please donate. Thanks. EDIT: I think I can scrape up 50 bucks.

![]() Quantom of Solace, the upcoming Bond game based on Casino Royale and the film of the same name has been slated to feature two seemingly awesome things. Although it's not going to have everything that the 360 and PS3 versions will feature, Activision doesn't want to neglect us Wii owners. They're throwing in multiple control schemes, such as the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo or for those who want to make use of their Wiirepherals, the Zapper. The game will also feature online multiplayer and 4-player split screen local multiplayer, which is exclusive to the Wii version. lolsucks2bePS3/360 (sort of) Activision is also hoping for the visuals to live up to the standards set by CoD4. I'm not worried about the graphics though, I just hope that they doesn't suck. Zapper control has always been hit/miss, more miss than hit honestly. Let's just pray that the game isn't plagued by Lag-Fi.

![]() At a Konami press conference, an announcement was made for there new Nintendo DS release, Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry. As from the looks, this game looks like it is based off of a mixture of Animal Crossing and a Harry Potter type of look. GameSpot wrote: According to literature we got from Konami you'll be able to interact with and make friends (and even boyfriends and girlfriends) with the other 100 school students, as well as solving mysteries, while trying to earn your magician's licence and the title of "master wizard." You'll also be able to send your character to other DSes as part of a "school exchange." Making boyfriends and girlfriends also sounds like a Harvest Moon type of play as well. Well, until further detail, Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry is set to release Q1 2009 for Europe! Pictures

![]() How on earth did that happen?! Well, that's an interesting story... For the launch of Summer Athletics on Wii (also on PS2, 360 and PC), Eidos held an event in London which combined real sports and videogames in an interesting mashup... check out the Wii-lay, Gamecube Hurling, and the Xbox Putt! BGB was there to film the day, and the video of the event has gone online today - as well as the full results of the three events, you can also get the full verdict on the latest track and field effort. You can find the video at http://www.britishgaming.co.uk/?p=1472.

![]() Sources from G4TV reveals that Neversoft's Brian Bright has big news to reveal about the new mode, "Studio", features for Guitar Hero World Tour. G4TV wrote: We just got the hot word from Neversoft's Brian Bright, and we have some big Guitar Hero World Tour news: A new peripheral is coming. The new periph. is specifically for the game's Studio mode, to help you make music, and while Bright wouldn't go into detail about what it will be, we are speculating that it will be a keyboard. Again, not for use in the game, but for use in the game's studio. We think it'll be a keyboard because, simply, that's the best way to control music input... but, hey, we might end up being wrong. Look for an official announcement in the upcoming months. We'll let you know more when we know more. Keyboard? May be a mixing board? We won't know until further details as the game will be released this October.

The staff [Ace] is in development of the new Play Now. However, it's not completely done yet. There are still some errors, and the button itself is not public. You can tell it's not done yet by trying to post something and you get a strange SQL error.
Given I'm an artistic dunce and can't make a new Info banner, and it's too late to remove it because the damage is done, I ask that no one post any Play Now bugs until you can actually see the Play Now button. Thanks. |
