I get about 4-6 hours out of my Macbook, too, sometimes. I got it September '09 from school.

Well, I always have the screen on max and usually when I'm using it not plugged in it's 'cos I'm watching movies or playing games or something.

What are you talking about?
The old Macbooks with plastic shells had removable batteries, but the aluminum ones from late '08 use larger ones you cannot replace.

How do you upgrade the RAM in aluminium laptops then? It's underneath my battery...

Also, you Americans even changed the SPELLING of aluminium when you gave it a stupid pronunciation? Stop ruining a language that isn't even your own!

I used spellcheck, I'm austrian.
In german, I'd say Aluminium.

First, what Smalls said. Secondly, if that is pronounced "a-loo-muh-nee-um" like it looks like, I'd say that the American pronunciation is quite a bit less stupid.
