Here's a tip... change the Power Settings. Seriously, they may have it cranked up to High Performance... or is anyone else here having the same problem?

I've gotten more battery out of my laptop since I started using 7, but that's just because one of the first things I did was change the power settings. Haven't heard of anyone else having this problem though.

Of course 7 is wasting your resources.
Vista started it, and MS didn't cease their resource-hogs, disguised as useless features in 7.
That's why the whole idea of a gaming laptop is a joke.

EDIT: Post #600 goes to OS-rant.
Oh my.

^ Even if Windows was perfect and wasted absolutely no resources, gaming laptop is still a joke. Software really isn't the problem.

It's like PS3-shaders on a Gameboy.
Or Flash on an iPhone.

Or, if you want it to view it on another angle, Where's Waldo in Paperback format.

Oh my.
From my use of 7 during beta, I had faster framerates on all my games. Even faster than what I got with XP.

Macs sux... Except as a laptop.

The one spot I could put it currently has the computer my dad built himself. It was pretty high-end when he made it in 2003.

How bout you make one with hidden hardware, like those kitchen-PCs?
I always wanted to do one of these.

All OSes drain batteries by having your computer on silly.

Depends on how long.
I squeeze 4-6 hours out of my Macbook which I bought mid '08.
