Today, I was building a snow recreation of a children's snowball fight with 2 forts (walls) and some snowchildren playing. I was an hour's work in and about half way up on the first wall and my dad comes up at tells me it's dangerous and I must destroy it at once.

Yesterday this very same dad told me I spend too long watching TV/on my computer/being in my room. During the Christmas break.

Actually, stuff like this is pretty common. Yeah, its different case by case, but parents often tell you something you're doing is bad without giving you an alternative, and if you try something else they'll say what you're doing now is bad and for some reason forget they said they other thing (or act like they do).
