Sadly, no trace of OCW was ever found…

I'm going back to Scarborough today and won't have internet for a while because I have to buy the internet and it has to be installed and so on and so forth.
So, bye guys. Break any rules while I'm away and I'll break your face when I'm back. Have fun!

Ok so I bought my copy of Other M tonight maybe two hours ago and I was like Woooooo! I open it up, pop it in and....nothing happened. I returned the game and got another. Same crap happened. It says "disk cannot be read" WTF is going on! I have the latest system update as far as I know, all my other games work just not Other M. Any idea on what I should do? Is it the Wii itself?

Does anyone remember that Superb Mario Bros. game? I remember giving you guys a link to the mockup. Anyway, it was AGES ago, like, last year or something.
So, about a week ago, I get an email from the guy that I worked with on Superb Mario Bros, who I haven't talked to since. He asks if I still do pixel art, and whether if I'm interested in doing another game project with him. He outlines the basics of the game. It's a cross between puzzle and platformer. It's been done before, but this is different. It's about a boy who travels the land (we've barely made any story yet), and comes across puzzles. He has to solve them to get past. After going through puzzles he finds Lost Souls, that give him powers. There's 26 Lost Souls in the game (I've told him to reduce it to 9, but I haven't got a response yet), and each Lost Soul is assigned to a key on the keyboard, and pressing (or holding) the key activates the skill. At first, the boy can only walk left and right. When he finds the first Lost Soul, Aero, it gives him the ability to jump. So, pressing 'A' on the keyboard makes him jump. When he finds the second Lost Soul, Sonic, it gives him the ability to run fast. So, holding 'S' on the keyboard while walking makes him run fast. These were the two examples he explained. I thought it was a pretty interesting concept. So far, I've made a walking animation. It's Andrio, but the boy in the game will most likely look very different. Everytime I keep looking at the animation, I like it even more. ![]() I've also half-done a mockup, but I've decided I'll keep these secret until we get further along in the game. Comment on the walking animation. :D
Yup... I'm 18 now.
That's all.

Work in progress.
The worldview of individual members in Skypechat serves as the motive for how the member functions and reacts to others. We define a two-dimensional matrix where the x-axis indicates the preferable order of conversation and the y indicating the preferable "realness" of conversation topics. Three significant groups emerge: ![]() AI = The Aidanites; AL = The Alainists, AN = The Anarchists Aidanites: Reality-Order -Talks about "real topics", involving issues of life and culture; order in a mutual sense of respect -Since all have close connections with Aidan/PIE!, is a very close-knit group -Hierarchy pyramidal (layer-based?) -Like how the cold virus spreads easily between people closely bunched together, memes/in-jokes are produced amongst Aidanites with relative ease -Majority group in Skypechat -Ex. Nin-Sega, the Chicago Skypers The eponymous Aidan is not an extreme Aidanite! Alainists: Virtual-Order -Virtual in their conversation, i.e. videogames; actively avert reality through masquerading of emotions -Hierarchy pyramidal? Collapse of group structure leaves no clear leader -Once powerful group, now minor due to exodus of members; remaining Alainists drift to Aidanite or Anarchist -Ex. Jakob/Jackofspades, Metal_Link, LOLDSFAN (gone) Anarchists: Centre-Chaos -The most insular group; entry criteria is based on reason and rapid comprehension of the culture -Omnitopic, discusses "intellectual" topics in particular -Incomprehensible, eccentric to outsiders? ex. Codes conversation with smileys -Revolts against shallow Alainists and Aidanites through spontaneous attacks; currently crusading against Aidanites -Minor group, but influential at times -Ex. rj118, Kratos/Sonicx64 Many users are still drifting in their worldview: Aidanite-Alainists: Chives, Mikemetroid Alainist-Anarchist: Gregme Aidanite-Anarchists: Christiano, me

lol just kidding. I know we are not mature enough as a community to discuss the topic.
Actually this is just an update in Jab's life, so if you were hoping for something interesting I'm sorry to disappoint. Tomorrow I start my 5th week of my last year of high school. This year has been okay I suppose. I still hate my school and the assholes that go there, but it feels good to be on top. The band program this year is the best it's ever been. Hopefully the marching band will be taking home a first place or 2. Recently I watched Kick Ass and it is my new favorite movie. I finally beat all of the l4d2 campaigns on expert. Gonna start watching Ghost in the Shell because my friend said it was comparable to Cowboy Bebop in quality, and I loved Bebop. Also, I love /vp/. The Garry's always make me chuckle.

Yeah, so I'm going to college the 20th, and I need a laptop for it. Now the school offers one, and it seems like some serious heavy shizzle.
You can see it here Some text is in Dutch, but you should be able to figure out the specs. So what do you think? |
